The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Civil Affairs Hour looks at Equitable Land Reforms in Liberia. My guest is Emmanuel Urey, a Liberian and Candidate for PhD in the Environment and Resources Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. He strongly believes in equitable land reforms and over the past 7 years his research has focused on land reforms in Liberia. His master thesis which focused on systems of customary (“traditional”) land administration in a transitional context was useful in formulating the land rights policy and land rights law now before the National Legislature.</p>
