Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

James Verdier </strong>– Chairman/Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission–LACC………….Participants at a World Justice Forum rededicate commitment to collaborate and create homegrown cultures for the rule of law; <strong>Lewis Glay</strong>-Secretary General/National Publishers Association Elections Commission……….The body conducts elections for the national publishers association; <strong>Forstina Gongbah</strong>-Head/St. Mary High School Alumni Association Planning Committee……..The alumni association stages a fund raiser to improve academic conditions at the institution in Sanniquelle, Nimba County as well as provide educational aid to the under privilege; and <strong>Stephen Lavalah</strong>-Executive Director/Youth Exploring Solution–YES…….the youth group organizes Liberian Environmental Awareness Forum-LEAF.</p>
