Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<div style="text-align: justify;">Coffee Break on Monday , November 13 hosted the following persons:<br>Rev. John Sumo-Director of Health Promotion/Ministry of Health . He disclosed that the&nbsp; Ministry was&nbsp; hosting&nbsp; antibiotics awareness week .<br><strong>Ambassador Miatta Fahnbulleh</strong> / Respected Liberian musician. She talked about a partnership with the international Youth fellowship in hosting a peace musical concert for Liberia .</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Siatta Scott</strong>-Johnson-National Coordinator/Female Journalists Association of Liberia-FeJAL . She announced the training of over 70 journalists on “Gender Sensitive Reporting and Fairer Portrayal of women” in the Media<br><strong>Madam Helena Wenneh</strong>-Executive Director/Destined Kids Assistance Program-DEKAP . Wenneh disclosed that DEKAP is launching the project titled: Creating awareness on the negative effects of sexual gender based violence on women and girls, and empowering them through socio-economic change</div>
