Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Coffee Break today featured the following guests: Harold Aidoo-Executive Director/Institute for Research and Democratic Development-IREDD………….IREDD releases the second edition of its electoral integrity and incumbency abuse report; Calixte Hessou-Communications Director/United Nations Population Fund-UNFPA………UNFPA and partners roll out a campaign on non-violence elections as well as mainstreaming the fight against SGBV in the electoral process; Luther Mafalleh-Coordinator/Civil Peace Service…………The organization engages university students and youth groups in the promotion of peaceful elections; Abraham Johnson-Minister of Music/Spokesperson of the Violence Free elections musical jamboree which starts today; and Emmanuel Wheinyue-Communications Officer/Liberia Decentralization Program-MIA……..The government and partners open a county service center in Lofa County.<br>&nbsp;</p>
