Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

He disclosed that ECOWAS and partners signed the Bella Casa Declaration on Peaceful Elections in Liberia<br>Lonnie Herring-National Program Policy Officer/United Nations World Food Program said the WFP hosted a workshop for management of community food and grain reserves for rural farming households<br><strong>James Makor</strong>-Executive Director/Save My Future Foundation-SAMFU (0886-531-661/0776-390-623) said the organization concluded a workshop on enhancing capacity of Peace Mediators to mitigate conflict in communities in Grand Gedeh<br><strong>Rev. Augustine Akoi</strong> / Head of the Better Future Foundation (BFF) said the BFF and partners petitioned the legislature to take steps to boost the educational sectors.<br>Charles Cuffy President of the Press Union of Liberia talked of partnerships with international media bodies and other professional groups to boost the capacity of Liberian journalism</p>
