Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Coffee Break is UNMIL Radio’s flagship news and current affairs program that highlights issues of concerns to UNMIL, government of Liberia, Civil Society and Grassroots communities. Issues such as peace and reconciliation, elections, women’s issues, current events, governance, rule of law, electricity and road construction among others are captured in the program which is aired Mondays-Fridays.</p>

<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Dr. Augustine Farneah – Health Officer / Grand Kru Country dispels reports about the poor health situation especially relating to maternal health</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Abraham Keita – Child Rights Advocate wants voters vote wisely</li>
