Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Dis Government Ting Report on September 6, 2017 the program hosted Eddie Jarwolo Head of Naymote a Civil Society Group. The Group conducted a survey on the Performance of the Liberia National Police, the Liberia Electricity Corporation and the Water and Sewer Corporation.<br>Eddie Jarwolo says communities appreciate Liberia National Police operations since it took over national security responsibilities from the United Nations Mission in Liberia and that the Police are capable of providing security during this electoral process.<br>For the Liberia Electricity Corporation, most of those spoken to said the management needs to do more and should be very much proactive in terms of customer service. For the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation, they mentioned of not being impress at all when it comes to the supply of water.</p>
