Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p>Nationwide’s Tuesday, November 21, 2017 edition carried stories from River Cess, Grand Kru, Lofa, Margibi, Grand Bassa and Maryland Counties.<br>Below are the lead stories for the program:</p>

<ul><li>100 bed rooms hospital to be built in River Cess County by the German Agro Acton.</li>
<li>An investigation team set up to probe some officers of the Police Support Unit and the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency; they are alleged of committing armed robbery.</li>
<li>The second Judicial Circuit Court in Buchanan has begun hearing in the Siah Tamba case.</li>
