Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Today’s edition of the program carried stories from Grand Kru, Lofa, Grand Bassa, Maryland and River Cess Counties. Most of these stories were sent in by nationwide reporters. They are about local developments, rule of law and the October 2017 elections.<br>Below is gist of stories we carried:</p>

<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Police in Grand Kru County are investigating what they call the unauthorized burial of a lady believed to be her early 30’s.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">The Press Union of Liberia in partnership with Internews concludes debates for Representative Candidates in Lofa County.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Prices go sky high in Monweh District in River Cess County as the road gets deplorable.</li>
