Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

UNMIL’s Community Outreach sensitization exercises for Liberia’s upcoming Run-off Polls

In support of Liberia’s National Elections Commission (NEC) civic education
program, and in partnership with UNPOL and UNMIL’s Civil Affairs, UNMIL’s
Community Outreach will continue with elections sensitization activities in
Monrovia and counties for the country’s upcoming run-off.
