Maryland County Officials Get Computer Training

Maryland County officials have been nursing the dream of learning computer skills for a long time. And their dream came true recently as peacekeepers of PakBatt –19, as part of their vocational training programme, reached out to them. A two-week computer training imparted hands-on knowledge to the officials including the City Mayor. “This effort meant a lot to us. My team deeply appreciates help extended by PakBatt in educating them which would be indeed effective in performing their office duties more efficiently,” County Superintendent Nazarene Tubman said.

The course focused on basic computer skills and office applications along with basic knowledge of hardware. Diligently prepared lessons and interactive presentations helped sustain the interest of the participants who also benefited from lecture notes distributed to them.

“Hallmark of the course was enthusiasm and the fervor displayed by the participants. The emphasis was on practical handling of computers rather than theoretical knowledge. I am sure officials will find themselves more confident in performing office tasks,” Commanding Officer Col. Shahid Tirmizi said.

PakBatt-19 plans to commence computer courses for elementary and high school students.
