Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Coffee Break On Tuesday , June 20 spoke with the following persons:</p>

<ol><li style="text-align: justify;">Ana Biurrun Ruiz/ Communications Officer UNHCR spoke of activities marking World Refugees Day in Liberia.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Charles Coffey-President/Press Union of Liberia-PUL talked of plans to ensure that the media play a critical in the consolidation of peace in Liberia.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Siatta Scott- Johnson &ndash; Coordinator / Female Journalist Association of Liberia disclosed that her organization is helping to build the capacity of female journalists in rural Liberia.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;Augustine N&rsquo;gafuan / Former foreign minister&nbsp;&nbsp; expressed concerns over recent comments by the chairman of the elections commission on the voter&rsquo;s registration process.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Gerald Hodges / National Director Smart Liberia disclosed that smart &ndash;Liberia is undertaking girls&rsquo; entrepreneurship and technology project</li>
