Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Coffee Break is UNMIL Radio&rsquo;s flagship news and current affairs program that highlights issues of concerns to UNMIL, government of Liberia, Civil Society and Grassroots communities. Issues such as peace and reconciliation, elections, women&rsquo;s issues, current events, governance, rule of law, electricity and road construction among others are captured in the program which is aired Mondays-Fridays.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><br />Coffee Break today featured live interviews with the following persons and issues:</p>

<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Mardea Martin Wiles- Deputy Minister for Planning, Policy and Research / Ministry of Gender, Children and Social protection speaks about the validation of the National Gender Policy;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Siatta Scott- Johnson &ndash; Coordinator / Female Journalist Association of Liberia FeJAL takes its building of young female journalists to Bomi County;</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Foday Rogers &ndash;Chairman/88th Founders Day&nbsp; Program Committee Booker Washington Institute &ndash; BWI celebrates 88th Founder&rsquo;s day</li>
