    Domestic Violence and the home

    Featured guests/resource persons: Three Girls from West Point-Sinkor-Brewerville communities in Monrovia.  

    The girls focused their discussion on some forms of violence children are faced with in the home and how girls are affected. One of the girls, Juah Doeyou, defined domestic violence as aggressive behaviors within the home. She said parents or guardians are the ones mainly involved in domestic violence

    • The Liberia National Police says it was investigating the death of a 42 year old woman whose body was found at a Garage in central Monrovia. 
    • Also on the program, the Carter Center says a border harmonization effort has successfully ended a long running boundary dispute between two communities in southeastern Liberia.
    • Meanwhile, Officials of the Community of Hope Agriculture project and the Rice Intensification National Focal Point visited Lofa County to boost Liberia’s economy through rice farming.
