    Roosevelt Woods / An official National Civil Society Human Rights Platform . The platform has stressed the importance of the promotion of the culture of human rights as the country braces for a new political leadership
    Aloysius Taylor / Project Manager Kids Education Engagement Project (KEEP) . The has launched a campaign to promote accountability in the education sector

  • History Hour (11 January 2018)

    This week’s edition of History Hour addressed the confusion over the numerical ranking of the presidents of Liberia.
    This now stands at 25 after the election of Mr. George Weah. Others argue that the number is 24, after history tries to omit James Smith who completed the unexpired term of Edward James Roye who was deposed in in 1871.

    Collins talked about how the LNP handled the just ended General Elections void of any major incidence at a when UNMIL is drawing down. And what mechanisms put in place for the upcoming inauguration as far as security is concerned.

    Some of these measures are trainings, focus group discussion, counselling etc.

    To discuss, inform and educate Liberians on Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV)
    How related to UNMIL, PI and Radio Mandate:
    Sensitizing Liberians on the interventions and measures taken to stop SGBV communities.

    Coffee Break on Thursday , January 11, 2017 hosted the following persons:
    1. Dr. Masoka Fallah / Deputy Director General for Technical Services National Public Health Institute of Liberia.  He reassured the public that the scabbies outbreak is being contained
    2. Pilate Johnson / Coordinator of the Liberia Elections Observation Network (LEON) . Johnson spoke of the lessons learned from the just ended elections
    3. Giewee Giah / Chief Executive Officer of the Wahjay –STEM  foundation . She disclosed that the Institution is hosting  its second local robotic competition
    4.Zogar Innis / Secretary General National Customs Brokers Association of Liberia .The organization has advanced recommendations to remove what it calls  “bottle necks’ to trade and commerce
    5. Musa Kenneh/ President LEGISPOL- umbrella organization of journalists covering the legislature. The group  is scheduled to host debates for candidates vying for the Speaker and President -Protempt  positions at the national legislature
