    • Margibi County Information Officer has said, about eight hundred houses have been destroyed and over 17,000 persons made homeless in four communities within the county.
    • The European Union Election Observer Mission to Liberia says it’s in the country to neutrally and impartially observe the October polls.
    • President Ellen Johnson - Sirleaf has urged the newly inducted President of University of Liberia to “be vigilant and wise” as she accepts the challenge of her new portfolio.
    • For her Part, Dr. Ophelia Weeks assured President Sirleaf that she will execute the duties assigned to her and underscored a number of strategies intended to improve the institution.
    • The innovation and technology sector holds "huge opportunities for women," said to become more tangible with a new alliance aimed at advancing women and girls in the field.
