Coffee Break - Friday, September 29, 2017

Coffee Break is UNMIL Radio’s flagship news and current affairs program that highlights issues of concerns to UNMIL, government of Liberia, Civil Society and Grassroots communities. Issues such as peace and reconciliation, elections, women’s issues, current events, governance, rule of law, electricity and road construction among others are captured in the program which is aired Mondays-Fridays.
Coffee Break today featured live interviews with the following persons and issues:

  • Celia Turkett – UNMIL Conduct and Discipline Unit gives update of outreach activities in the sectors;
  • Siatta Scott Johnson – Coordinator / Female Journalists Association of Liberia FeJAL and Partners roll out the “Get Out To Vote (GO-TV) Campaign;
  • Adam Klon – Program Director / Liberian Youth for Human Rights launches a peace building campaign ahead of the October 10 polls;
  • Jobalyn Barclay - Program Officer/ SMILE -Liberia this week stages a fundraiser to support the education of the underprivileged in the society
  • Robert Menson – Head of Building Trade Department / Booker Washington Institute – BWI wins the National Innovative housing design competition
