Coffee Break is UNMIL Radio’s flagship news and current affairs program that highlights issues of concerns to UNMIL, government of Liberia, Civil Society and Grassroots communities. Issues such as peace and reconciliation, elections, women’s issues, current events, governance, rule of law, electricity and road construction among others are captured in the program which is aired Mondays-Fridays.
Coffee Break today featured live interviews with the following persons and issues:
  • Henry Flomo - Communications Director / National Elections -NEC provides elections update;
  • Amb. Babatunde Ajisomo - ECOWAS Ambassador  to Liberia speaks of ECOWAS elections observation team in the country;
  • Rally Fallah - Focal point of the disabled community on the training of the visually impaired in the use of the tartar ballot  partners with NAYMOTE in helping blind people to make independent decisions at the polls;
  • Sam Collins - Spokesman of the Liberia National Police gives updates on the operations of the LNP;
  • Darius Weamie-Margibi County Information Officer talks about the status of the flood victims in Margibi County;
  • Chantal Kyei - a Liberian Writer authors a book for children on Water and Sanitation;
  • Wilfred Gewon - Manager / Lion Computer School for the blind at AME University  participated in a Pan Africa training for IT specialist of the visually impaired
