Coffee Break - Thursday, April 27, 2017

Coffee Break is UNMIL Radio’s flagship news and current affairs program that highlights issues of concerns to UNMIL, government of Liberia, Civil Society and Grassroots communities. Issues such as peace and reconciliation, elections, women’s issues, current events, governance, rule of law, electricity and road construction among others are captured in the program which is aired Mondays-Fridays.

Coffee Break today featured live interviews with the following persons and issues:

  • Hassan Kiawu – Clinical Communications Manager / Partnership for Research on Ebola Virus in Liberia spoke about the recently launched PREVAC Known as prevail 5.
  • Gwendolyn Myers – Executive Director / Messenger for Peace embarks on peace promotion campaign.
  • Dr. Dawn Barnes – President of the Liberian Cancer Society Liberian Cancer Society talks about the hosting of the 2nd Annual International Bazaar.
  • Samuel Bajibo- Communications Director /Ministry of Transport - The ministry begins its annual vehicle inspection
  • Clarence Jackson – Head of the Committee to Rehabilitate Radio Gbarnga speaks about the status of the station rehabilitation after heavy storm destroyed the facility and equipment.
