Coffee Break - Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Coffee Break is UNMIL Radio’s flagship news and current affairs program that highlights issues of concerns to UNMIL, government of Liberia, Civil Society and Grassroots communities. Issues such as peace and reconciliation, elections, women’s issues, current events, governance, rule of law, electricity and road construction among others are captured in the program which is aired Mondays-Fridays.
Coffee Break today featured live interviews with the following persons and issues:

  • Deddeh Kwakwa – Head / Sexual Gender Based Violence Unit at the Ministry of Gender, Children & Social Protection said the Ministry & partners stage a sit-in at the legislature for the passage of the proposed domestic violence bill
  • Abraham Dolley - Communications Director / Liberia Immigration Service said LIS undertakes community outreach
  • John Yormie - Head of the Liberia Research and Development Network launches a documentary of Liberian history titled "Flashback"
  • Clifford Robinson – Deputy Director General / Liberia Intellectual Property Office returns from a conference aimed at improving innovation and policy for African countries.
