Coffee Break - Wednesday (27 September 2017)

Coffee Break is UNMIL Radio’s flagship news and current affairs program that highlights issues of concerns to UNMIL, government of Liberia, Civil Society and Grassroots communities. Issues such as peace and reconciliation, elections, women’s issues, current events, governance, rule of law, electricity and road construction among others are captured in the program which is aired Mondays-Fridays.
Coffee Break today featured live interviews with the following persons and issues:

  • Atty. Lamii Kpargboi - An Executive of the Deepening Democracy Coalition -DDC  talks about the final round of Presidential Debate held yesterday;
  • Betty Sharpe – Executive Director / Sharpe Home Services –SHOCAS adds her voice to the many calls for a non-violent posture doing this election period;
  • Sam Collins – Spokesman / Liberia National Police gives update of the operations of the LNP;
  • Emree Neeplo – Program Manager / Planned Parenthood Association of Liberia –PPAL and partners observed World Contraceptive Day yesterday;
  • Armah Sarnoe – Superintendent / Gbarpolu County talks about the dedication of the county radio station;
  • Rosetta Kieh – Head of Monrovia Chapter / Education for Girls Initiative speaks of the launch of a back to school campaign for the weekend
