Coffee Break: Wednesday, April 05, 2017

UNMIL Radio’s flagship news and current affairs program that highlights issues of concerns to UNMIL, government of Liberia, Civil Society and Grassroots communities. Issues such as peace and reconciliation, elections, women’s issues, current events, governance, rule of law, electricity and road construction among others are captured in the program which is aired Mondays-Fridays.

Coffee Break today featured live interviews with the following persons and issues:

  • David Dahn – Assistant Defense Minister for Public Affairs reiterate calls for individuals occupying the Ramrod Barracks in Paynesville to vacate the premises by May 1.
  • Patrick Farley - Head of the Ebola Survivors Network said they shared experiences at the sub-regional meeting on clinical care for Ebola survivors held in Guinea
  • Gerald Hodges -National Project Director Smart-Liberia said the organization has launched its Sustainable Development Goals Tour in schools.
  • Wellington Dennis – Reporter at Tubman University Phoenix Radio clarified that rumors circulating in Pleebo of the discovery of seven bodies is untrue.
