·        President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has opened the Grand Gedeh County Service Center; describing it as a major step in providing basic public services to rural inhabitants.

·        The Ministry of Education has refuted claims that, Minister George Werner has threatened to dismiss primary school teachers in the country for absenteeism.
