“This marks another milestone in rebuilding of the Liberian criminal justice system,’” said the Officer-in-Charge, Rule of Law, Marcel Akpovo, at the handover ceremony on 2 March at UNMIL headquarters in Monrovia. “Data collection, management and analysis as relates to inmates helps to protect the fundamental rights of people who are under custody, and ensure that their dignity is maintained and protected.’”
