    Coffee Break is UNMIL Radio’s flagship news and current affairs program that highlights issues of concerns to UNMIL, government of Liberia, Civil Society and Grassroots communities. Issues such as peace and reconciliation, elections, women’s issues, current events, governance, rule of law, electricity and road construction among others are captured in the program which is aired Mondays-Fridays.


    Coffee Break today featured live interviews with the following persons and issues:

    • Roosevelt Woods - Head / Foundation for International Dignity (FIND) partners with the EU and ECOWAS in promoting peaceful electoral activities;

    Dis Government Ting Report on September 6, 2017 the program hosted Eddie Jarwolo Head of Naymote a Civil Society Group. The Group conducted a survey on the Performance of the Liberia National Police, the Liberia Electricity Corporation and the Water and Sewer Corporation.
    Eddie Jarwolo says communities appreciate Liberia National Police operations since it took over national security responsibilities from the United Nations Mission in Liberia and that the Police are capable of providing security during this electoral process.
    For the Liberia Electricity Corporation, most of those spoken to said the management needs to do more and should be very much proactive in terms of customer service. For the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation, they mentioned of not being impress at all when it comes to the supply of water.
