Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

Awareness campaign on Sexual and Gender-based Violence at the Monrovia Central Prison supported by UNMIL

UNMIL Corrections and Gender Units today supported Liberia Bureau of Corrections and Rehabilitation to hold an awareness forum on the Sexual and Gender-based Violence at the Monrovia Central Prison.

The event sensitized inmates and Correction Officers on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and it was organized to mark the International Women’s Day.
