Topic: Lessons learned from the voter registration process. Two days ago, the National Elections Commission and partners, including assistant magistrates, UNDP, NDI working through a number of civil society organizations held a two-day civic and voter education lesson learned conference. The Director discusses the conference and results.

    • President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has urged ECOWAS parliamentarians to do more in tackling the proliferations of harmful drugs, which have the propensity to threaten the well-being of citizens in the region.
    • The Speaker of the House of Representatives said the proliferation of counterfeit and expired medicines is not only Liberia’s problem, as the sub-region and all of Africa is vulnerable to the illegal drugs trade.
    • Reports say the go–slow called by the Patriotic Entrepreneurs of Liberia on Monday failed to achieve its goal.
    • Liberia’s defense authorities have begun the eviction of occupants of the 72nd military barracks on the Somalia drive. The facilities became occupied by civilians during the civil war.
